
Lewis Carroll was born on January 27th, 1832 in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. He grew up with 11 siblings and because of this learned to entertain him and his family. Lewis lived in a small country town so, like other families, were isolated and had few friends. In school, he was very strong in math and won awards and a scholarship at Christ College. After college, he became a math teacher and a passionate photographer. Lewis took portraits, wrote essays, poetry, and pamphlets - he is the Author of Alice in Wonderland. Carroll enjoyed the company of children and took portraits of them.There was spectacle that he also took compromising pictures of them but he was never prosecuted and no evidence was found. Following his successful career, he died on January 14, 1898 from pneumonia.
